FAQ
How long have you been doing ceramics?
I took a summer workshop with Michelle Organ of The Shop Toronto, and then took classes with Hatice of Toronto Pottery Studio in 2018. In 2022, amidst the pandemic, I created a small studio in my home. Eventually, I bought a potter's wheel and a kiln.
What are the pieces made out of?
I enjoy working with different types of clay like white porcelain, speckled stoneware, and mid red clay. I use food safe glazes, and add special touches with gold lustre. I buy all my materials from Tuckers Pottery Supply and The Pottery Supply House.
Can I put my piece in the dishwasher or microwave?
While all pieces are dishwasher safe, I would like to recommend hand washing them as much as possible. The high temperatures in dishwashers can affect the appearance of glazes over time. By hand washing, you can help preserve the vibrant colours and intricate patterns of the ceramics for years to come.
All pieces are microwave safe for your convenience, unless explicitly mentioned otherwise in the product description. However, please note that any pieces adorned with gold accents are not suitable for microwave use. I would also like to advise caution when handling pieces with unglazed exteriors. These pieces have the potential to become very hot when used in the microwave or filled with hot liquids. Please take extra care to protect your fingers! If you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to ask.
